Raceway FAQs
Which D-Line Cable Raceway should I select?
The choice of raceway should consider the volume of cords being concealed. Check the D-Line Raceway dimensions provide sufficient capacity for your requirements. Please see Cord Capacity Guide.
Note product dimensions are external dimensions - please consider wall thickness of D-Line Cable Raceway is typically 0.04in (1mm); in other words 1.18in x 0.59in Cable Cover will have internal dimensions approx. 1.172in x 0.582in (0.04in for lid & 0.04in for base).
Any tips for measuring up?
Remember to leave space (between D-Line lengths) to accommodate accessory required. Use the accessory as the template. Pencil mark the surface and the length. After installing the lengths, then inserting the cables, the Smooth-Fit Accessory will retro-fit into the space(s) you left.
If using Clip-Over Accessories for 0.78x0.39in, 1.18x0.59in, 2x1in or 0.87x0.87in raceway, the gap does not have to be precise, but ensure the lengths are spaced so the rear tabs will grip i.e. the lengths are not too far apart! Clip-Over Accessories simply, fit over the gaps.
Any tips for cutting D-Line Raceway lengths?
For best results use a junior hacksaw, minimum 32tpi. If using Smooth-Fit Accessories a straight cut is important, so the accessory can fit neatly up to the length. If using Clip-Over Accessories cutting and measuring doesn’t need to be as precise, because the accessories allow a 0.4” (10mm) tolerance.
Pictures show the click-lock at the top side. Can it be at the base instead?
Yes, an installation can be reversed, but the lid then no longer acts as a cable retainer. Installers usually prefer the hinge at the base, so cables are not dropping along the way!
Must I use a Coupler?
Not necessarily! If you are hiding cable on a wall that is smooth & flat, we know many installers will simply butt additional lengths together end-to-end with no coupler between the lengths. How many times can the raceway hinge be opened?
D-Line lengths can be opened and closed thousands of times, making it easy to later add or remove cables if required. The hinge is tensioned so it is not too stiff or slack, making D-Line easy to handle. Can you rely on the self-adhesive for permanent fixing?
For 0.78x0.39in, 1.18x0.59in and 0.87x0.87in D-Line lengths - the tape gives a strong bond, so take care before securing to the surface. It is possible that tapes can eventually lose effectiveness as adhesive elements vaporise over time, but we have known lengths stuck to smooth clean surfaces (by our self-adhesive) for many years. If using a large cable raceway (such as our TV cable hider 2x1in) then because of the greater weight and strain on the tape, we advise installers to also use a secondary fixing (wall plug & screw) spaced every 12in.How do I remove D-Line Raceway from my wall?
Please remove with caution, as the self-adhesive backing does create a very strong bond. To remove, slowly pull the raceway from the wall, using a wallpaper scraper or sharp knife behind the adhesive to slowly peel away… then for any additional residue left, use an adhesive removal spray.I can’t find the color I want, can I paint D-Line Raceway?
Yes! All D-Line Raceway lengths & accessories are fully paintable. Before painting, key the surface with a fine sandpaper & apply two coats of paint.Cable Organizer Box FAQs

I need to cover a trailing cord… what type of Floor Cable Cover should I use?
Firstly, you need to consider diameter (height) of the cords and the combined width of the cords you’re looking to cover, when they are side by side. Once you’ve identified a Floor Cable Cover that has a sufficient sized cable cavity, you’ll then need to choose the use & traffic that the floor cover will be subject to… for infrequent footfall use Light Duty Floor Cable Cover. For protecting cables under frequent foot traffic,Medium Duty Cable Protector provides effective protection. To protect cables under vehicular traffic, use Heavy Duty Cable Protectors.
