In residential scenarios, electric vehicles need to have a charger unit installed in plug-in reach of the vehicle’s parking place — which usually means on the front of the home, and fed by a chunky power cable.
Where there was an unspoiled wall space, now there’ll be a charging box and a thick black cable that is visible for all to see; often with black plastic legs sticking up to look oddly conspicuous above the cable, every foot or so - traditional plastic cable cleats were never intended for the front of residences!
The demand for ‘easy to install, look great!’ cable supports, that could be fitted discretely, was partly D-Line’s inspiration to create special EV Cable Kits. One size includes steel Clips for cables 0.4"- 0.67" diameter, and the other for 0.6"- 0.8" cables. 20pc and 100pc options are available in both sizes, each with 1x drill bit.
Using the D-Line screws, installers need only to drill a 0.18" pilot guide hole in the wall. Then embed the 1.38" long x 0.22" wide D-Line screw via the base hole of the clip, before simply wrapping and locking the clip tightly around the cable. The cable hides the screw-fixing.
To save further install time, no wall anchors are needed in D-Line’s option that saves approximately 40% of cable fixing time.
The wrap-around feature of D-Line’s EV Charger Cable Kits makes the black D-Line cable supports almost invisible on black cable, showing off how a neat streamlined appearance can be achieved!
